Backward dries

Been having a play with some reverses dries. The first is a reversed paraloop dry. The hackle is tied in a hackle stacker method. The second two are Roy Christie's Reversed Parachute Emergers, admittedly only the last one really looks like a parachute hackle.

Anyone fished this style of fly?

Not tried them Robert, but they look 'fishy'

I have tied and used some in the past, didn't find any particular benefit to them over 'conventional' patterns, so didn't persist with them.

I did wonder if the benefits would be noticeable, hard to see past the DHE for simplicity and effectiveness.

I have in my box the Leckford Professor, I cant remember the exact dressing but its a general something and nothing pattern. The reverse hackle means you get less hang ups in bankside vegetation ect.
Sadly I dont get many dry fly opportunities but must try tbhe dry more often.
