Registration Agreement

You agree, through your use of this forum, that you will not post any content which is illegal, harmful, false, defamatory, threatening, abusive, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, or invasive of a person's privacy.

We are based in the UK and as a small volunteer run forum we do our best to maintain a safe online environment, this includes but is not limited to, carrying out an annual online safety risk assessment using Ofcom documentation, guides and tools.

Anyone who feels that a posted message or image is illegal, harmful, or objectionable is fully encouraged to notify an administrator or moderator of this forum immediately. This can be done via the 'Report' buttons in the user actions menu for each individual post, comment, private message and gallery image item, or can be reported via a private message to a member of the moderator team. The moderators and the owner of this forum reserve the right to remove any illegal, harmful or objectionable content. This is a manual process and will be carried out as soon as possible.

You remain solely responsible for the content of your posted messages and images. Furthermore, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the owner of this forum and the moderator team. The owner of this forum also reserves the right to reveal your identity (or any other related information that might be available on this forum software such as your IP address) in the event of a formal complaint or legal action arising from any situation caused by your use of this forum. Please note that with each post, your IP address is recorded.

Please note that it is impossible for the moderation team or the owner of this forum to confirm the validity of posted content. Please remember that as a small volunteer run forum we cannot actively monitor the posted messages and images 24/7, and as such, are not responsible for the content contained within. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information presented. The posted messages and images express the views of the author, and not necessarily the views of this forum, the moderation team, or this forum's owner.

You have the ability when you register to choose a username for login purposes, this unique username helps you to keep your account secure. With this user account you are about to register, you agree to never give your username or password out to another person, except to a forum administrator for validity reasons. You also agree to never use another person's account for any reason. We highly recommend that you use a complex and unique password for your account, to prevent any possibility of account theft.

The registration form will also ask you for your first name and your surname, this is the name that will be displayed on your profile and in your posts on the forum. We decided to use/display our real names many years ago, this has been a great success and makes for a much better group of friends. You agree, through your use of this forum, to use your real name.

Cookie Policy
Why do we need a cookie policy?

Most websites that you visit use small files called cookies. All websites that use cookies must display a policy to help you to understand what a cookie is, to explain what we use them for and to make sure that you are happy to agree to them being used.

There are no cookies on the main pages of our website, but we do use cookies in the forum section, as the forum requires cookies to function.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small piece of information sent by a web server or website to the web browser on your computer, this enables the web server or website to collect or read the information from your browser when you visit each new page on the website and on subsequent visits. We use cookies in several ways to help our website forum to function.

Which cookies do we use?

Session Cookies: Website pages do not have a memory, without cookies a user going from page to page will be treated by the website as a completely new visitor. Cookies enable the website to keep track of your movement from page to page, so that you don't get asked for the same information that you have already given. We use session cookies to remember things like your username and that you are logged in when you use our website forum. This is helpful in that you will not need to enter this information on each individual page.

Persistent Cookies: These cookies help websites remember your information and settings when you visit them in the future. This helps with faster and more convenient access to the website. We use Persistent cookies to remember your user preferences when you use our website forum. This is helpful in that you will not need to enter this information on each visit, you simply enter your username and password and continue to use the forum as per your last visit.
