Winter Flytying Competition

Hi guys

We've been discussing running a wee flytying comp again this year.
The entries we get are usually great so we thought it would be nice to continue what is becoming a tradition.

So we will do three months, January February and March for the run up to the new season
There will be a nice prize for each month courtesy of Mr B.

This year the idea is to create a fly using a tried and tested material in a new and original way, the fly will be marked on originality, use of material, tying prowess and its potential to catch fish.

So for January the material will be Marabou

So let the creative juices flow and lets see what you all come up with

By the way - doesn't have to be a trout fly.... could be Salmon....Tarpon....Bass.... (Carp or Pike for Rob  ) ....... it's your choice 

But, if you feel your pattern needs to be 'explained', then please do include a wee description of how/why/what etc.

Good to know, Hamish. My flies were very kindly returned to me this weekend  . Seems that the plastic filmcontainer I send them in, was too big  . Send them again last Monday to Mike.
