Winter Flytying Competition

Hi guys

We've been discussing running a wee flytying comp again this year.
The entries we get are usually great so we thought it would be nice to continue what is becoming a tradition.

So we will do three months, January February and March for the run up to the new season
There will be a nice prize for each month courtesy of Mr B.

This year the idea is to create a fly using a tried and tested material in a new and original way, the fly will be marked on originality, use of material, tying prowess and its potential to catch fish.

So for January the material will be Marabou

So let the creative juices flow and lets see what you all come up with :z16

Sandy

Pm myself, Hamish or Mike for details of where to send them, or drop them off at Haddo

Hi folks

Yes, this was good fun last year :z16

Prizes? ............. The winner each month can choose the Barrio Fly Line of their choice :z12

As per previous years, I think two examples of your entry fly please.

Great stuff

Originality and use of materials are just (if not more) important than becoming the next Oliver Edwards :z16

Enthusiasm goes a long way  :z16

By the way - doesn't have to be a trout fly.... could be Salmon....Tarpon....Bass.... (Carp or Pike for Rob  :wink ) ....... it's your choice  :z16

But, if you feel your pattern needs to be 'explained', then please do include a wee description of how/why/what etc.  :D
