Adding Photos To Forum Posts
« on: March 16, 2013, 15:43:14 PM »
Hi folks

Adding photos to posts is something that people often find difficult :z6

Let's make better use of the Photo Gallery and keep things simple!

You will notice that there is now a link above the text box when you are making a new post or reply "Add image to post and upload to gallery" ......... Please try this for adding photos to your posts, it is a great system and even resizes them!

When you click on it, a pop up appears:

1 - Give your photo a title.
2 -  Select a category ( select "Photo Gallery" as the category )
3 - Give your photo a description ( the description will only be displayed under your photo in the gallery )
4 - Click on "Choose file" to find your photo on your PC, highlight the photo file and then click on the "Open" button.
5 - Now simply click on "Add picture", your photo will upload to the gallery and will then insert a link in your post that will make the photo display in your post

Treat the link as a paragraph and simply press return if you want a space between your photo and your text :wink

Please don't post photos of dead fish ....... this has become a sort of unspoken rule by forum members over the years :z16

Best wishes
Mike

Mike,
It must be easy, even I managed on my Dee report first time.

For anybody that has problems with this system ......... you can upload your photo in the gallery and then simply copy the code below your photo in the gallery that says 'HTML link', then simply paste this in your post where you would like the photo to display.

That is a great photo of a trout in the water with a rod. That is the way brownies should be.
Well worth logging on just to see the photos.
Bob.

Thanks Bob ..... today's featured photo is one of Sandy's and he certainly uses his bamboo rods as fishing rods :z16

When I look at the photo of the trout I see a fish that is slim and just the way they used to look before others started to want big stockies. Have a couple of cane rods and a 9 ft. greenheart trout rod. They are heavier than modern rods but the greenheart action is easier on the eye and still catches fish.
