So after todays post that means four sets of flies so far.  You've already got pictures of Alex's excellent blood worms and Sandy's shrimps.  So these arrived over the last fewy days sadly my photography doesn't do them justice.

GRHE diawl bachs

and Kevlard's pearly pennels

I'm nearly finished mine two to go.  Baz's are in the post.  So get busy everybody!

and Kevlard's pearly pennels

A bit of a variation on the pearly pennel I usually tie them with a hen hackle but this one has crow for the hackle and a turn of orange dubbing for a thorax.   The rest of the materials are golden pheasant for the tail, pearly tinsel for the body with a silver wire rib. as the body can be a bit fragile i run a fine layer of superglue along the body before applying the tinsel and then a coat of 60 second nail varnish before applying the rib. The hackle is perhaps bordering on the long side but I dont think it will stop the trout. These variations are the first I have tied but I have fished pearly pennels with a variety of retrieves, deep and sub surface and they have always taken fish. Look forward to seeing the rest of the tyings

Would agree with that :z16

since I put my vice in a our back room which has fantastic natural light
the photos are really good. All the SBS photos I've taken since Christmas have been
with natural light only :z3
mind you the light here is lovely for photos some of the outside stuff comes out
amazing

Another thing is to stick something solid behind the fly or the camera wants to try and focus on the background and not the fly, grass is good!

A set of mystery buzzers arrived today. No postage, usrename, return envelope or address. Can anybody claim them? (the hand drawn stamp was particularly impressive!)
