That guy made that look easy. I usually take the lazy way out and buy the ready made rio/orvis tapered leaders. I might have a wee shot at this tho.

Nice find Mike.  Very interesting and looks easy.   I would have thought that casting it with the associated flicking too and fro would cause it to unfurl up to the section with the knot and the tippet end liable to become a big tangle ?    Regardless, I'll definitely give it a go and test the result to destruction  .

Don't know if it'll take over from my tapered leader but defo worth a go.
