Let's see if this works....a step by step of a wet fly I've used for 'Bows recently with good results;

Materials required
Note: the Dubbing is 'Caddis Green Ice Dub' & tinsel is 'Dual Tinsel' and I used the SIlver side for the Tag.

Tie in the Uni Floss Tail followed by the Silver Wire Rib & the Dual Tinsel (Gold side up @ this stage)

Wind on the Silver tinsel tag to a point just past where your dubbing will start.

Apply dubbing to tying thread and dub body .

Wind on Silver Wire rib and tie off.

Prepare & tie in Hackle.

Wind Hackle and tie off. Snip Floss tail to required length.

Whip finish and apply Head Cement.

Tie onto leader and prepare to be amazed!

Hope it turned out ok

Here are some other variations (four on right)

Jim,

I think it's your fly box I need to have a look in!

I bought a Black Hen Neck from the Orvis store on Saturday so I'll be able to tie proper hackles now.

It was just an attempt to get the feel of the format & see how the 'Macro's' showed on a post
