Anglers who are fishing slightly deeper are continuing to find fish, but the fish are often rising and falling depending upon the conditions.   The colder weather has increased both the use of intermediates and lures that are now outfishing naturals, providing they are fished slowly. Successful flies have included the Black Fritz and the Lime Green & Black Fritz, WSW, Bloodworm, weighted Black Buzzer and CDCs.

Finding the right depth has been crucial and some who did were S Corsar, I Sutherland and L Wood who each tempted 10, including a brace at 4 lbs and bows of 5lbs, 7lbs and 8lbs.  B Taylor released 13, best at 7 lbs, while R Anderson had a good 9lbs bow in his bag of 15.  Larger fish are certainly showing more and in very good condition including a cracking 8lbs rainbow caught by G Sutherland, while W Rainnie released 2 x 6lbs and an 8lbs bow in his bag.
