With the weather getting colder more anglers are turning to lures to temp fish and it was lures that were taking the majority of fish last week. Also doing well were buzzers and bloodworms fished under an indicator and it was this method that accounted for the top bag taken by J Rennie of Buckie who tempted 19 and then 8 on buzzers with a fish of 5lb being the best.
R Ewen landed one over 10lb in his bag of 18 taken on a cormorant while J Gardiner boated 15 to 5lb on lures.
Fraserburgh angler C Field landed 13 on bloodworm best at 4lb and P Adam had a good session landing 12 to 4lb on lures. G Sutherland bagged 11 to 3lb on buzzers while A Anderson landed one at 10lb in his bag of 10 taken on lures also landing 10 were R McKay with fish of 6.8lb and 5.8lb and G Burton with a fish of 6lb his best mainly taken on bloodworm, K Duguid and S McLean also landed 10 with both having fish of 7.8lb taken on lures.
J Findlay bagged 9 to 3lb on blobs while L Gibson boated 8 to 3lb on nymphs. W West and G Chiverton also bagged 8 with fish of 6lb and 5lb taking lures while A Hay bagged 7 to 6lb on buzzers, M Sutherland, S Milton and I Watt all had fish of 7lb in their bags while G Bothwick and A Daniel both had fish over 6lb.
