Decided to treat myself to another Sharpes Scottie cane fly rod.
This one looks very lightly used and almost in mint condition.
That's three i have now and i feel this could become an obsession :)

Can't wait till the springtime.

Looks great Duncan, fingers crossed for a good start to the season when it comes  :)

Are your three rods all the same length and line weight?

Duncan McRae

Hi Mike

I have a 10ft # 6-7 two piece ,a 9ft # 6 two piece ,and a 9ft 6" # 6-7 three piece.

The 10ft is out of action at the moment as I have somehow managed to shear through one of the brass ferrules while trying to separate the two rod halves.
Will have to try and track down someone to repair it. Years ago Somers might have been able to help but I don't think they would be able to now.

I just love that there are so many ways that we can enjoy our hobby!

The latest tackle and technology can often add something to the mix that makes us smile, but classic rods and reels can be just as much fun and the trout really don't seem to mind  :)
