With the thought of warm summer nights and big don trout in my head. I decided it was about time I started to put together some mice.

In order to tie it to the size I like without having to resort to some seriously meaty hooks I've decided to try them on plastic tubes this season. Here's hoping the big don Broonies are obliging 👍

Last year's efforts had a habit if occasionally tail wrapping and fish coming short so I figured I'd get creative and make a tail of shrink wrap tubing with a small trailing single to try and combat this.

To help prevent tail wrapping you could consider tying in a nylon loop (12 or 15lb line) under the tail and extending a third to a half the length.
