Fishing in and around Dunblane area July

Hi all,

Greetings from Oman. I will be in Dunblane from the 12th to the 24th of July this year and looking for advice on the area. I have been told that the Allan is a great river at times, but not always.

Any advice is greatly appreciated, and if anyone is around and fancies a day on the river, I would be grateful for the company.

The Allan is a wee spate river - and i think gets a run of sea trout and salmon - so will be very water dependent. Other than that I'm afraid i don't know of any other 'wild' fishing down that way. I think there are a few stocked lochs though....

Thanks James. I was looking at www.fishforth.org, and there seems to be some good lochs and fisheries around Dunblane.
