Hi Robert,
Thank you The body is made of yarn in open  turns to imitate the body segmentation. The back is body thread. Thorax is made of guard hare fur.. Cheers

That is a nice looking Caddis.

I had a play with a Muddled Daddy Pattern today. Added some hackle tip wings, as expected they are kind of hidden in this busy dressing.

I've been playing with a new version of a Hawthorn. there's a Black Ice dub body under the wing. I dropped the hackle and have tried some micro straggle fritz to see if it gives it a bit more life.

Nice fly Sandy. The broader section of the staggle should move quite a bit. Would think it should move more than cock hackle. A comparision with hen or CDC would be interesting.

I like the buggy look straggle gives too.

This is 10mm uv boosted black straggle trimmed back a little. The fine fibres give nice volume.
