Strath bogie.

Hi fellow fishers. I will be visiting scotland from new zealand in may to see my mum and visit the old homeland and will be staying around the north east.
I have a place to stay up near rhynie for a few days and seem to remember strath bogie had a lovely looking trout stream running through it.
Does anybody know who i would need to approach for permission to fish it or is there any permit system available.

You could try The Huntly angling Association :

They have some fishing on the lower reaches of the Bogie. I'm afraid I don't know how to find out about upstream from there, but I'd love to know too!

Thanks for the replies.
I have booked a week with my brother on the huntly town water including the bogie, through the solicitors office. Looking forwards to it..  55 pounds for the week seems good value for 22miles of fishing.

I will also be looking for day trips on the don and wonder if anybody has any particular favourite beats I should check out.
