I've kept most of my old catalogues.
It's so interesting looking back.
Here's one i found amongst my father's fishing stuff.

Some cracking dry flys in that page Duncan. Amazing how effective that old style dry flys worked when we were fishing back in the 70/80s just coat them in mucilin. Cover a feeding Trout and they mostly took them.

Strange how it's changed so much 

Wonder if that badger spider was modified to the yellow badger parachute that was a great fly back in the days when trout broke the surface to take a floating fly coated in mucilin.

I loved the Spartan catalogue. I used to bulk buy all my sprite hooks and materials from Steve back in the day when I was tying for shops. Great guy with a wicked sense of humour. Great shame he was taken so young.

Couldn't agree more Eddie, Steve was always fun to speak to, and not too shabby on the harmonica either!

I wonder what Mr Trigg is doing nowadays, he used to make things like the rod bags and tubes.
