Some traditional wets and some not so traditional

Hi all,

I thought i'd post a few pictures of some traditionals I took the notion to tie during the snowy weeks.......they're far from perfect but still I enjoyed researching the materials and tying them up.......should catch a fish come the bi loch season.......

There are some for the salmon as well.......not so traditional though......

I got myself the full association ticket this year, so I'll be on the Don and the Dee very regularly.........probably somewhere every night in the summer!!

Steven,
A wee bit of well meant constructive criticism

On the salmon flies, try to finish the dressing a smidgen shorter of the eye. Think about tying the pattern on 90% of the hook rather than 100% of the space available, this will give more room at the head of the fly to allow for a double turle knot but will also give a neater dressing.
Have a squint here at something I tied last night at 2am.... for the hell of it, you understand

Cheers Hamish......thats the kind of snippets of info I need to pick up.......never really had a 'lesson' so to speak, just been dabbling for about six months or so.....but I've definately got the bug!!!
