John Tyzak comes from Lancashire . OK, John is an 'off cumden' and lives west of the Peninnes but we'll let him off for that. Now John and Dean Andrews, who is a well known TV actor,  have produced a DVD on early spring fishing and it features a JT Olive.  The simplicity of the pattern is the main feature, long tail fibres with a mole fur body and the wing made from CDC (ducks bottom feathers) should make this fly one that will be remembered.

Yes gink up body before you start fishing, then use "Frogs Fanny"  to rejuvenate the CDC as required.

As is for me, with Froggies Fanny as desicant when needed. I personally think it represents a crippled Dun so I like it sparse (ala Waterhen Bloa) and riding low in the film, see the other recent fly-tying thread on here "Stocking" for more detail. I think JT's tip is to only gink the tail
