Hi Folks

There has been plenty of surface activity at Haddo this week, providing anglers with some great sport on lightweight rods and floating lines.

From the boats, Jim Adie tempted 15 fish up to 8½ lb on Kate MacLaren and pearly PTN, Hugh Baxter had 13 fish up to 6 lb on Kates, Horace Wetherly 10 to 6 lb on black spiders and Kates, Kenny Hall 15 to 3 lb on damsels and bloodworms, Donald Stanford 15 to 11 lb on buzzers and daddies and Luke Coleman 11 to 4½ lb on cats, buzzers and damsels. Alex Burnett kept 3 fish for 18 lb 5 oz, plus 11 released on his "Olive Alex" damsels and Derek Wiseman kept 2 fish for 13 lb, the largest being 10 lb 8 oz and released 5 on bloodworms.

Top rods in the float tubes this week were Alan Barker with 16 fish up to 6½ lb on bloodworms and Dave Olley with 20+ fish on black spiders, klinks and wets, putting a good bend in his new self-built 4wt rod with a fully finned cracking rainbow of 10 lb 12 oz.

The Blue Trout have continued to give the best sport this week

There are no major bookings for this coming weekend, so I should have plenty of boats available. Please phone me on the usual 07810 868897 for up to date availability.

Best wishes
