Winter has arrived ....... and the ice
« on: 18/12/2006 at 10:43 »
Hi folks

I see that Brian has posted that he is closed due to ice at Delgatie Trout Fishery today. I was frozen over at Haddo Trout Fishery today too and I noticed when passing that Lochter Trout Fishery had a fair bit of ice on it as well ( apart from a wee clearing in front of the big pipe? )

While this cold snap continues, it would probably be a good idea to phone the fisheries and ask about conditions before driving out to them

You will find phone numbers for the local venues on my main website at Fishing The Fly, see: http://www.fishingthefly.co.uk/rainbow-trout-lochs.html

Best wishes

Just not good enough mike

Can you not slip on your speedos and get out there and clear the ice?

I guess thats my Pike fishing knocked on the head too, although the waters are a bit bigger. Good advice though..once drove all the way to Lanark to fish for Carp and it was frozen solid...felt a bit of a fool..lol
