Simple Buzzer Step By Step

Here is a step by step to a simple little pattern that has accounted for a good few fish this season.

Materials required
Black sparton Micro thread
UTC 70 Hopper yellow Thread
Small Mirage Opal Tinsel
Hook Fulling Mill Grub size 14

Firstly tie in the Hopper yellow at the eye and run it down to the middle of the bend in touching turns.

Now tie in the black thread over the bottom of the Hopper thread. Once the hopper thread is secured and wont un ravel snip off the hopper thread and bobbin.


Now bring the black thread up in open turns to form the rib.

Now tie in a strip of mirage tinsel.

Now secure in to form a loop.

Snip the loop and pull tinsel forward on each side and tie in to form the cheeks.


Now whip finish and apply 4 coats of Sally Hansen Varnish.

Looks nice, gonna tie some of these in various colours!

Just a thought but have you tried tying in the cheeks without cutting the loop. I would think it would lend to a more even finish possible?

Tried various ways of doing cheeks but found this to be the best way!
This buzzer is good in lots of combos of colours and cheeks!
Claret and cream is a classic
