Anybody on here fish the Musselburgh Esk, Haddington Tyne (or thereabouts) on a regular basis?

John Wastle

Not for a while Mike, but have fished both in the past. I walk the Musselburgh stretch quite often and coincidently I took a walk yesterday on the upper reaches of the North Esk

If I can be of help let me know.

I've just started fishing and fish the Tyne around Haddington. Going there today if it cools down. Some big fish in there .

Hi Mark - Welcome to the forum  :z16

It's been a busy couple of months and I haven't had a chance to explore any waters yet, but might hopefully see you on the banks somewhere at some stage.

Yep, it's pretty warm again today, I've been eyeing up the possibility of maybe having a cast for mackerel on the shore, they should be fun on the fly.

Cheers
Mike

Was golfing at Haddington the other night and a muckle fish jumped in a large pool there
I missed it but the other reckoned Sea Trout

Hi Mike, I tend to fish the Tyne and have done the Esk. Like yourself originally from Inverurie way and used to the Don.
