Blue kate ordie

So someone i know is having quite a lot of success on Loch Brora at the moment with brownies and finnock with a blue loch ordie so I thought I would do him some blue 'kate ordie's to try out.



Now, i didn't have any blue hen hackles but what I do have is some large kingfisher blue schlappen . Although they were too big to wind on I tried reverse tying some fibres instead which i think works ok ?

Looks excellent, that's a very neat way to use up longer feathers
