Delgatie Trout Fishery opened in August 2004 and offers fly fishing for rainbow trout and resident brown trout from boat or bank. |

The fishery is located three miles outside Turriff. Heading towards banff on the A947 road from turriff, take the first road to the right that is signposted Cuminestown and Delgatie Castle, the fishery is within the castle grounds.
Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery is a catch and release fishery and there are no fish tickets.
Keeping Rainbow Trout For Eating:
Any rainbow trout that you would like to keep for eating can be purchased at the end of your fishing session at £2.00 per lb.
( Please note that the weight of your trout will be "rounded down" to the nearest ½ lb on the scales )
Anglers use barbless or de-barbed flies at all times.
FISHING SESSION PRICES (2009)
( Bank fishing )
Up to 4 hrs fishing session £10.00
Up to 6 hrs fishing session £12.00
Up to 8 hrs fishing session £14.00
Up to 10 hrs fishing session £16.00
Junior anglers under 15 yrs can bank fish for £8.00
Junior anglers under 9 yrs can bank fish for £5.00
( Boat, Float Tube or Pontoon Boat fishing )
Up to 4 hrs fishing session £14.00 per angler
Up to 6 hrs fishing session £16.00 per angler
Up to 8 hrs fishing session £18.00 per angler
Up to 10 hrs fishing session £20.00 per angler
These prices include your boat, float tube or pontoon boat. Junior anglers under 15 can fish for half price when sharing a boat with an adult.
Boats can be booked, but these might be given to other anglers if the fisher has not turned up within half an hour of the boat booking time.

Facilities at Delgatie Include
Rowing boats, pontoon boat, float tubes, fishing hut, toilet, car park , tea & coffee, flies and fishing tackle for sale.
Buoyancy aids are provided free of charge for your safety and neoprene waders are also available for float tubing.
Tackle hire is available at £5.00 per session and includes rod, reel, nylon, flies, etc.
Gift vouchers are also available
The fishery is normally open daily from 08:00 hrs (except Christmas day and New Years Day) and is open from 09:00 hrs in the winter as from 1st November
