Artloch Trout Fishery

Artloch Trout Fishery is situated in peaceful surroundings and just 3 miles from Huntly. The fishery offers about 5 acres of bank fly fishing for rainbow trout, brook trout and brown trout.

The loch was extensively renovated in 2016 and the four photos below were taken following the major improvement works, when water levels had not yet reached full capacity.

Artloch ranges from 5 to 15 feet deep and is fed by the Glen Burn. This well established fishery has plenty of natural feed and has gained a good reputation as a top of the water fishery, where dry flies as well as lures will tempt fish.

Previous improvements included a new fishing hut with a disabled toilet, a multi-fuel stove, a microwave and free tea and coffee facilities.
