Loch Ard (Aberfoyle)

Hello all,
Long-time reader so time to join - thanks for having me, Admins.
I’m off on a family trip to stay on the North bank of Loch Ard (Aberfoyle) this July, so hoping to glean a bit of info about accessibility of Ard’s banks, chasing brownies – hopefully some of you will have some experience on the loch or can suggest nearby alternatives, since there are quite a few surrounding waters.
I’m hoping to sneak out for a couple of hours in the early morning or evenings, so I can’t travel too far from base or I’ll be taking some heat – any insights for bank fishing much appreciated…
I’ll be packing chest waders,  dry lines, (Barrios 😉 ), but no tube unfortunately...
TIA,
Ross
