Interesting chapter in Andrew Douglas Home book A River Runs Through Me.

Cracking book. I believe he also writes the weekly blog on tweedbeats which is always worth a read. He owns the Lees beat. His Ghillie also does a weekly blog.

I remember when i first started fishing at Inverurie in the late 70s the lads used to mention catching big trout at the old sewage works out flow.

I don't think they would of tasted very nice  :X2 :X2

Interesting post Ivor.
I think the Lawsons factory was also suspected of causing salmon lying below the factory to turn yellow in colour.
Late 70's early 80's I think.

Last season I caught a trout opposite the beer garden of a pub. When it was in the net it regurgitated a chip! Whole new meaning to fish & chips
