An Assynt view New
« on: 07/11/2021 at 13:08 »
Trawling through a collection of old photos on the look our for something my Mum is after, I found this:

The photo was taken on my second trip to Assynt,  on my way to a small hill loch near Clachtoll, I'd forgotten all about this photo - one of very few that remain of that trip.
It's a stunning part of the country  :z16

I had two most enjoyable days out on Loch Shin in 2018, one with  Allan and one with Euan, but I've not had the time to make any return trip there or to Assynt since :!
Maybe next year  :?

H,

I just realised that the last time I camped up in Assynt and fished was back in June 2010 *smiley-shocking*

That’s been way too long. Need to sort that next season.

Kind of reminds me to start planning next years fishing - with school holidays etc there are only so many 'me' days available and a couple of days in and around Assynt should feature.

I am hoping to make a trip up there again if the usual bothy is available. May see some of you guys?
June seems to be the best month, but who knows these days  :z8
I would love another day on the big ones - Shin and Assynt.
