So there was a nice looking fly in 'Today's Flyfisher' magazine called the famous grouse.

I never tie 'traditional winged wet flies' ( as i always thought it was far too tricky) but it looked so nice I thought I would give it a go

Size 10 hook
Grouse for tail, hackle and wing
Silver tinsel and wire
Grizzle cock

A deadly looking fly James.
I think it would do very well amongst spring time trout on the Don :z16

I like that James - a well tied fly, I think I'll copy that one but put a dab of black varnish on the head.
