Silk Fly Lines?
« on: 17/06/2021 at 22:13 »
Anyone ever tried a silk fly line......?

I haven't but feel perhaps I should,  :z8

Just started reading about them and found some great info on line taper styles etc. on an Italian site called Terenzio fly lines.  Upon more investigation I have also found some are still made in the UK in North Yorkshire by Ian Moxon.

I wonder what a DT4 would be like on my butter soft Scott F2 774 fibreglass?

Just curious.

Never tried a silk fly line but did have  Cortland  Sylk which was supposed to be the equivalent of a silk line. Did not like it so gave it to  mate.
