Chest pack !!

Hi folks , looking to update some of my gear primarily  a new jacket , A vest was the primary thing for holding gear years ago but I have seen a few folk with a chest pack , anyone that has used both got any pluses and negatives for either , also  any suggestions for models birthday soon ,

I use the older Orvis safe passage "chip" chest pack, which is quite small. I like it because it makes me think about what I am taking as before, I was filling up my waistcoat with boxes and items I would never use..

I use the slim fly boxes, and add a few spools of nylon, some floatant and a few tapered leaders. That's about it.

Super light, does not get swamped when I wade too deep unlike my old waistcoat, and if I fall in, it wont hinder my swimming.
