Is there such a thing as a 10’ rod that can be used for both upstream dry fly, and Czech style nymphing?

Presumably it would need to be soft enough in action to prevent light tippet from snapping when fishing a “euro” leader, but not so soft as to be prohibitive for casting a dry fly on a “normal” fly line?

I explored this a bit during the winter and I found that the basic dynamics of any rod means although it may be tailored for euronymphing it will still cast a decent enough line to be a good dryfly rod.  It’s all marketing blurb. Any of the good ‘euronymph’  rods in a 3 or 4 wt make good dryfly rods. Personally l like my dryfly rods shorter but the longer rods do a good job and you wouldn’t feel hard done too by any of the current batch of euronymph style rods.

I had wondered about that Sandy. I had been thinking "could i use a 10ft or 11ft 'euro' nymphing rod in a #4 as a 'loch style' rod. .."

looks like the answer is yes....
