Went to my 'big wild trout' loch last night.
Normally takes are few and far between. Not last night. They were hitting like express trains but could I hook em? No. Big smashes, no hook-ups. They like big flies so I normally fish size 6s or 8s. Is the hook size causing me to not hook up as it's my first go with a #4 glass rod?
Saying that my last hit resulted in the leader (6lb) breaking at the dropper. Gutted....
