2008 is not old  :z4

But it's an interesting point ..... when does a car become 'old' nowadays?

Two and a quarter is the distance you get between fills....
Or the hours between back surgery...
Durness is a long way Eddie  :z14

Just back from Scrabster on a job and we came down to Helmsdale via Kinbrace just to look at the Hallidale and the Helmsdale, both if which are now totally on my list.

Not being racist here, but if you do spot a car more than 5 years old in Aberdeen or the shire, it is likely being driven by someone from the Baltic States or Central Europe.

I quite like Fiats Derek, although I haven't had one for about 30 years  :X1

Haven't driven a Panda since one of the very first ones in Spain Euan, it had seats like picnic chairs .... but I know the current versions are hugely improved  :z16

Looks like you'll have most things covered with those two Steven, I do like an estate car. Not driven a Delica, but being L300 derived, I'm guessing I'd like them.  :z12

With around 390bhp and 700nm of torque the bm is certainly quite fun for an estate 😉 if you liked the l300 you'd love the delica (l400) proper arm chair on wheels that's embarrassed quite a few "real" off roaders 😎

I've also got a clio 182, a lwb transit camper and an l200 to put back on the road EVENTUALLY  :z4

A Land Rover Discovery Sport, second one after a series of four Freelanders. Each new one has been an improvement on the previous one. Did have a couple of the original Fiat Panda 4x4 in the late 1980's, they were so light they would go almost anywhere, as long as you had the ground clearance.

I guess the Disco Sport replaced the Freelander Graham. Not driven one, but I bet they're nice

I hope that LWB transit camper is back on the road. That was the "Durness monster  machine"

Myself I go by the 300tdi 90 route. 175K miles and towing a roof tent trailer. Just need to fit the winch for real adventure fishing....  :X2 :shock

What's the roof tent trailer like Iain? .................... photo required :wink

But I'm guessing it will be a Sankey trailer if it's on the 90.

I have to say guys that I am a bigger hooligan in the Pands that I was in the Alfa. 100 horses less but a third of the weight means more smiles per miles. I had to deal with a 6.3ltr AMG recently and he was not impressed. I can only guess that Steven wasnt driving...
And yes Mike they have improved a lot since the first one. I just adore my wee Panda😍

Oh dear.....

What have I gone and done to myself  :X1

My first foray into the world of landies after always going Japanese for my 4x4s.  I must admit its really growing on me and the seats are ace!

I did have to laugh about the fact that I had to change a blown brake light before the deal was even done 😂

I have a Dacia duster. Came with a touring pack so has a tow bar, side steps and a roof rack. 4x4 is a bonus. Plenty room. Not the most attractive car but cheap and cheerful and never once let me down!

Not driven a Duster, but Munro at Tinto Fishery gave us a lift in his a couple of years back and we were quite impressed .... I remember thinking it would be a practical fishing wagon  :z16

Cheers
