My 2p's worth:
quite correct Dave - if India, China etc don't help then the whole thing is pointless as they will increase pollution at a greater rate then we can ever cut it. That is not to say we should not try but we have to keep it in perspective.
In terms of electric cars - where does everyone think the power will come from ? Not many years ago we were being warned about energy blackouts as there was not enough power generation in this country( hence trying to build more nuclear power stations). Do we suddenly have a glut of electricity so we can all charge electric cars. I bet not...
Besides, we don't want every square meter of our land covered in wind turbines ( which are all built abroad)
The we get people like Emma Thompson flying over , business class , to tell us all that we should care more about the climate. She can' stuff off' for a start. Talk about being a total hypocrite...
Don't know about anyone else but if the lovely warm weather last summer was caused by climate change I'm all for it
On a more serious note we all need to take better care of the environment, but i would like it a wee bit warmer in Scotland
