Surely a June opening is too soon if it’s only just been filled with water?  :z8

Thought that very much like setting up a fish tank, but obviously on a much larger scale, it needs time to settle before adding any fish.

Guess that depends on the quality of water coming in to fill it up.
Iv no doubt the guy knows more about Stillwater fish-fishing than most of the folk on here.  :z16

"Hi People. After a long time closed, we're ready to open in June.
We've drained all the lochs, removed 12,000 of silt, relandscaped the banks, redecorated the lodge, installed a state of the art aerator system comprising 18 units, to keep the water super oxygenated, based on the Rutland boils. It works brilliantly.
All fish will be Westmill Grade "A"'s from 2lb to 20lb (ish) which I consider to be the best quality in the country. A bit more expensive, but I'm a big fan of big tails and nice fins.
Now it's going to be a bit of a special weekend, in conjunction with Loop Tackle who are sponsoring the event, and are currently refurbishing the fishery tackle shop as a Loop Centre for Scotland, so everything will be exclusively Loop, and this ties in with their website launch this week, offering a fantastic range of new products. Its all very exciting.

As there is so much interest from anglers all over and I want it to be a weekend to remember, we're having a two day individual competition to open on the 22nd/23rd June. £4000 of prizes, hot lunch and drinks both days. Now the prizes won't just be for the top 10, we'll be giving great stuff away for various places down to last..... but don't turn up and not fish, just to win the last place prize. 😂

It's £75 all in for the whole weekend. No cash on the day, transfer only which I will PM details of.

Places are limited, so please add your name in the comments if you'd like to attend. It's going to be a special weekend.

 Thank you, David"
