Alness adventures

So I visited the Alness last week (twice) once with a friend and the second time on my own.

Despite covering fish, sadly no Salmon were caught  :z6
This hardly constitutes a fishing report.... but there are can be few more stunningly beautiful places to blank so I'm sharing some more photos and recommending the beats for your consideration.

First photo is roughly the upper of beat 4, rest are all of beat 2.

I'll be back - next season  :z16

Roger offers trout fishing on some of the water, there's a section on beat 1 that is exclusive to trout fishing, but the river is mainly Salmon and Sea Trout.
That said... I did winkle out a decent brown (possibly seen the salt) of about 1.5lbs on a .... well, nothing small  :wink ..... from a pool in one of those pics. Another brown a few casts later was the same size of the fly, but there weren't many to be seen.
