Hi folks

I am sure that you are all sitting there desperately trying to come up with a New Year's resolution for 2008

Wouldn't it be nice ............ if we could stop the "daft comments" about salmon anglers this, pike anglers that, rainbow fishers this and wild fishers that

GET REAL ....... Neither you, nor I, are any better than anybody else

I have been very lucky throughout my life to have met all kinds of anglers from all over the world that fish for all sorts of fish. There are some great folk out there and "some not so good folk" in all aspects of fishing, just as there are in all aspects of life

I could not agree with you more , as long as someone is fishing within the rules be it river, loch or stocked fishery , I have no problem with whatever method or species they choose to fish for.

The notion that Salmon anglers are somehow superior to Trout anglers or vice versa , or Game anglers are Superior to coarse anglers  is a total nonsense.

Life is to short to start pointless arguments regarding which type of fishing you prefer , the notion that anyone can take the moral high ground because of their preferred fishing method is again a nonsense.

So my message for the New Year is live and let live and enjoy your fishing whatever  method or species you are fishing for.
