Back at Tanar

Had another spur of the moment trip to Glen Tanar yesterday. It was bloody hard work with the usual fish rising but refusing what we were throwing at them. Tweaked dry sedges worked in the afternoon and my claret hedgehog was a winner.
We had the usual hard fighting fish - a rainbow of "just" 2lb will run you ragged!
I then caught this,





My mouth is open in shock and I was actually shaking when I lifted it out of the net. I think this fish has been in there a very long time and hasn't been caught much. My god did he scrap! I reckon that it might even be my biggest fly caught Broonie.
Darren also had a regular sized one that was ever so pretty.
