Hi folks

Based on a max of 5 points from each of the 3 markers for (1) use of materials (2) originality (3) tying skill (4) fishability (5) consistancy of your 2 flies .......... which makes a max score of 75 points per entry

The results for your January Marabou flies are as follows:

Jeroen "Dutchfly" - 57.5 pts ( wins 1st place and the Barrio Fly Line of his choice ) Well done Jeroen!
Mike Livingstone - 57 pts

Kev Danby - 46.5 pts
Alex "catman" - 30.5 pts

The points for the March CDC Flies that we have received so far .... are as follows:

We appear to be missing quite a few entries for March. I dont know how many are in the post, but we have decided to let it run till the 15th of April to give you a chance to send them in :wink

Well done everybody ........ The flies are amazing :z16

Can only echo Mike and and Sandys comments, some extraordinarily well tied flies and some very original thinking in the use of materials.
It's a close run thing overall and the standard has been high which is reflected in the very close marking from three different judges - so come on chaps :!
Get the last flies with CDC as the material of choice tied and sent in now before the revised deadline  :z17

I had sea trout in mind when I tied this one.

Hook size 10 partridge big mouth Double
black tying thread
Tail DNA Pearl
Body silver tinsel with a palmered spun loop of CDC (2 feathers)
Wing long CDC fibres topped with black arctic fox

A CDC Humpy??

Tying is

Hook - 14 B170 (or any lightweight dry fly hook of your choice)
Thread - Olive
Body - LDO masterclass dubbing(or your choice)
Hackle - Grizzle
Back & Wing - A CDC feather. Tip is the wing & the rest is pulled down 'wonderwing' style, rolled then pulled over the back.

And the week after I sent these I got the latsest FF&FT mag - guess what - someone stole my idea!!!!!
