Hello me again  :X2 haha i have jst bought a float tube and am looking for recommendations  and fins and a life jackets help will be much appreciated  :z18

When it comes to a life jacket,  preferable to get one with crotch straps. 150N would do the job and personally I'd opt for an auto-inflate. These have manual activation, just in case.
Above all, keep your life jacket serviced in accordance with manufacturers guidance at an approved/licensed agent.

Fins - do not be tempted to go too big :!

I bought IST taralia fins and driving boots to go over my stocking foot waders. They are awesome, not cheap but awesome

I'm with Hamish on the fins. I bought some really big long fins thinking that I would speed past Iain Cameron and Euan Innes on a trip to Beanie a few years back. All I got was major cramp in both calves as I watched them fishing and catching trout as I limped out of the water and bank fished for the rest of the day.

So am lookin fir small fins then lads ? Ooo leg cramps sounds fun 😂been looking in to geting one for years and finely made a move haha  :z18

I went into aberdeen watersports so that I could try on boots and fins, took my waders to make sure I got a fit that would work.

Ended up with boots similar to these:

and pretty sure it was these fins:

not the cheapest, but they fit well and i've not had any problems using this setup.

I did think of getting one of those but settled in the guideline drifter which has proved to be just perfect
