Been playing about with the new tungsten stuff from Chevron Hackles (review in this months FFFT) and must say some of these seem pretty good.
An adaptation on tungsten impregnated sheeting Chevron have had them moulded into excellent wee tying shapes (tubes, cone heads, beads and nymph backs) 'rubber' feel to them , easily trimmed or cut but solid enough and certainly heavy enough.
Anyway here's a couple of caddis patterns I've produced with them, tutorials on the Partridge site and with the FFFT review, and just for fly eye candy I've stuck a photo in of a few wee more recognisable nymphs all of which were brilliant towards the season end (including the caddis's)
Hope you like 'em guys
