holidays on manar beats
« on: 16/10/2006 at 15:20 »
hi there;
great site, have enjoyed the info and the posts.  I wonder if anyone could offer me some advice.

I used to regularly holiday on the don as a kid and fish the manar beats (25-30 years ago now).  I am really keen to revisit them again.  I wonder if anyone has any tips/suggestions on the fishing, places to stay etc.

I have kept my hand in trout fishing rather sporadically over the years, predominantly on lakes; my father has done quite a bit of salmon fishing in recent years but i think we would all benefit from some sort of ghillie type advice; are there ghillies on the river there now?

Any ideas/suggestions gratefully received.

thanks
