Lochter Report - Cold & Wet Tests Anglers
« on: 06/03/2017 at 14:55 »

This past week at Lochter Fishery Oldmeldrum has not been for the faint hearted. There was a cold East wind for most of the week before Saturday descended into a day of rain, rain and more rain. This deluge brought with it much coloured water, which made fishing more testing with anglers having to use flies which would show up in the water.

At the start of the week before the deluge Steve Price had bags of eight and nine on two visits using Buzzers while Peter Young scored eight again using Buzzers. Frank Reid caught and returned seven on Cormorants and Colin McDonald also used Cormorants to account for eleven. By April 2nd we hope spring has arrived for that is the date for the popular Lochter Spring Singles (The Springles) competition. The entry fee is £20 that includes lunch and there will be plenty of prizes on offer. Anglers should contact the fishery on 01651 872787 or 872000 to enter.
