Epic double handers

I see that Swift / Epic have released their double handers with input from Miss Vokey.

The interesting bit for me is the line sizes - 5/6, 6/7, 7/8, all in 13' only. Most folks in this country would consider that light for sea trout never mind salmon, but these are for steelhead! I like the cut of her jib as I have always thought that most salmon fishers fish too heavy and I do love my 12' #7.
The down side is that they are £1k (1087 Euros) per rod so are up against Mr Mackenzies FX-1 series.
They do look lovely and I suspect the finish will be "Epic".
Can't wait for the reviews from both sides of the pond. The UK will hate them and the US / Canada will love them  :z4

I am reasonably sure that I did try an Epic double hander, smooth, very smooth as I recall.
Wouldn't be latest April Volkey range, but recent.

Now as to Epic vs FX1..... ahh well........ the only thing they have in common is they are both rods and have a large price tag attached to them.... effectively they are complete opposites
