hi
bought an un-used Mallard WF-6-ST from a member on FFF

used yesterday on a stillwater - well actually a bit choppy in a 10mph wing

cast perfectly, felt smooth, lay straight as a straight thing --- well pleased.

BUT - the ST took about 20 casts before it began to sink and then was fine

some floatant transfered maybe off the main line which I treated with Snowbee LineSlick

what the best way to  clean - soapy water.?

Hi John,

Yes, clean the sink tip section with soapy water, it can take a while to remove line treatments once they've been applied.

Line treatments can cause an intermediate line/section to float, but it could just be a new line, new lines usually take a wee while to start sinking properly.

Best wishes
Mike
