A recent fish from a days guiding for a couple of Americans on the middle Deveron. It's just a shame it wasn't brown but still what a fish!

Those PTNs really do catch everything. I had a salmon on the Don a few days ago on one. I'll post that later.

The fishing is picking up on both rivers again. I have spent more time on the Deveron of late.

Here's some of the better fish that have come across the net.

Two months to go, here's hoping for a fantastic back end!

Def gave the 3wt a workout!  Had a wind knot in my leader I was to lazy to change.  Regretted that the second I lifted into him.

Ptn on the duo.
Very surprised how well the 3wt recon casts a 4wt small stream line! Saves me having to carry 2 rods in the work motor.

Only stopped for an hour in the passing during work so didn't want to waste time re tying my tippet.  There were only very small fish showing or so I thought.  Think it's lesson learned  as it was nerve wracking when he decided to sit mid stream and refuse to move until serious pressure was applied.

I am using a 3 weight Sage with a 4 weight SLX and the combination is lovely for river work. The heavier line slows everything down nicely. :)
