Four More Fishing Days Till Christmas

Some times of the year seem to drag a bit, February although a short month feels slow to go by. One time of the year which seems to speed up is the run up to Christmas. You coast along with loads of time to buy presents, write the cards, order the Christmas fayre, etc etc then suddenly only a few days left; presents to buy, the deadline for posting closing in and cards arriving daily from folk you thought were deleted from the list. Angling being a quiet, gentle and relaxing activity is the ideal way to de-stress as Christmas rapidly approaches.

Among those out relaxing at Lochter fishery Oldmeldrum this week was Bill Gibb who used Bungee Buzzers to tempt nine, Ronnie Ewen who caught and released ten nice fish using Nomads and Grenadiers and Doug Mair whose Buzzers and Diawl Bachs brought ten to the net. Peter Young, who likes to bring his own comfy seat, received a sitting ovation from eight plump trout. While visiting angler Sandy Stobie stuck with Damsel Nymphs and landed seven fish of which he kept two three pounders for hot smoking.

The Fishery will be closed on the 25th and 26th of December and on the 1st and 2nd of January. The Lochter team wish all anglers a good Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year.
