One of the places that's high on my list of boxes to tick this year is Tinto Trout Fishery, near Lanark.

Munro Reid has some great self catering accommodation there, two big lochs with Brownies and Rainbows and he can help out with fishing on the Clyde, which is very close to the fishery

I can personally recommend Tinto lochs as I was involved with setting up the lochs with Munro's father John some 30+ years ago, there were then and still are some amazing brownies there and a stunning setting. Many happy memories

I've had many happy days at Tinto over the years, and some amazing wild brownies.
I've had a few late nights in the bothy with dear old John Reidy, knocking a few drams back and laughing into the wee small hours.
It's good to see Munro is now running the place, and making a damn good job of it as well.
I MUST get up soon, it's a wonderful spot to chuck a fly.
