Rob,

that was awesome. I have caught many different saltwater species on the fly including the Dorado mentioned on the film but there are still two on my bucket list and they are Mako and Giant Trevally. The GT is close at hand in Oman but the Mako will require a bit more planning. But nothing worthwhile was ever intended to be easy.

Mako and Giant Trevally.

I heard of someone catching Thresher Sharks off of Shetland on the fly. I had not realized that they gather off of Shetland at certain times of year.

I also believe Short Finned Makos have been spotted in UK waters...so perhaps its not such a far fetched dream :)

Even rumors of Great Whites attacking seals that are attracted to Salmon Farms off of Voe.

As for the GT, only caught its small ones on lures, but with it being my big 50 this year, perhaps I should book a dream holiday!
